Job Description:
We are seeking a poised and professional Front Desk Officer to join our team at Frelyn International School. As the first point of contact for parents, students, and visitors, you will play a critical role in shaping the first impression of our institution. This role requires a blend of exceptional interpersonal skills, administrative efficiency, and a dedicated commitment to professional service standards.

Requirements:
Reception & Guest Relations
Professional Greeting: Welcome parents, visitors, and students with a warm and professional demeanor, ensuring they are directed to the appropriate office or department.
Inquiry Management: Handle all incoming calls and physical inquiries promptly, providing accurate information regarding school services, admissions, and schedules.
Visitor Control: Maintain a secure and organized reception area by following visitor sign-in protocols and managing appointments.
Administrative Support
Correspondence: Manage the front-office email and physical mail, ensuring timely distribution to the relevant staff or departments.
Record Keeping: Maintain up-to-date visitor logs and assist with basic digital data entry for student or parent records.
Office Flow: Coordinate with the administrative team to ensure common areas are presentable and that office supplies at the front desk are consistently stocked.
Communication & Problem Solving
Internal Liaison: Act as a central hub for internal communications, ensuring messages are relayed accurately between parents and the teaching/administrative staff.
Complaint Resolution: Handle initial feedback or concerns with empathy and professionalism, escalating issues to management when necessary.
Qualifications and Skills:
Experience:
Proven experience in a Front Desk or Customer Service role.
Prior experience in an educational setting is an advantage but not mandatory.
Core Competencies:
Communication: Exceptional verbal and written English communication skills.
Demeanor: A consistently professional, calm, and welcoming personality.
Multitasking: Ability to manage a busy reception desk while completing administrative tasks.
Technical Skills:
Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) for recording data and drafting letters.
Comfortable using modern office telephone systems and digital communication tools.
Location: Must be a resident of Owerri or able to commute easily to New Owerri.
