Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Financial Analyst I to provide essential financial support within our Lagos operations. This contract position is ideal for an early-career professional looking to sharpen their skills in cost management, project accounting, and financial reporting. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and external vendors, ensuring our financial processes are accurate, efficient, and aligned with organizational objectives.

Requirements:

• Financial Support & Analysis: Provide analytical support to deliver consistent financial results; perform ad-hoc financial analyses as requested by management.

• Cost Reporting: Prepare detailed cost reports, including regular forecasts and outlooks to ensure transparency in financial performance.

• Project Accounting: Assist in the allocation of funds for projects based on approved budgets and monitor project expenditures throughout their lifecycle.

• Validation & Compliance: Validate invoices, project expenditures, and change requests to ensure they remain within authorized budgetary limits.

• Process Improvement: Identify bottlenecks in cost management and implement effective improvements to drive efficiency and operational effectiveness.

• Vendor & Internal Liaison: Coordinate with internal team members and external vendors to resolve financial discrepancies and clarify accounting issues.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education: B.Sc. Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.

• Experience: At least 3 years of experience working specifically within the oil and gas industry.
