Job Description:
We are seeking a results-driven and passionate Solar Sales Officer to drive the adoption of solar energy solutions. In this role, you will be a key contributor to the sales department, responsible for generating high-quality leads, converting prospects into customers, and expanding our network of independent agents. You will serve as a bridge between the company and the market, identifying new business opportunities and providing the competitive intelligence needed to close complex deals.
The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of both B2B and B2C business models and is capable of operating with high efficiency under minimal supervision.
Requirements:
Sales & Business Development
Customer Acquisition: Present, promote, and sell solar offerings using persuasive communication to both prospective and existing clients.
Target Management: Meet and exceed established sales targets through aggressive sales techniques and persistent follow-ups.
Agent Management: Recruit new sales agents and implement strategies to increase retention and decrease agent churn rates.
Relationship Building: Maintain strong client relationships by providing ongoing technical support, product information, and guidance.
Market Research & Intelligence
Competitive Analysis: Perform cost-benefit and market intelligence research to understand competitor moves and customer needs.
Trend Reporting: Present regular market updates and recommend service improvements or new product opportunities based on field research.
Field Evaluation: Regularly visit potential customers to evaluate their energy needs and promote the latest solar product offerings.
Operational Coordination
Logistics & Service: Ensure the smooth delivery of products within your area of operation and resolve customer complaints promptly to maximize satisfaction.
Financial Liaison: Coordinate with the finance department to reconcile stock levels and products supplied to the field.
Administrative Oversight: Maintain accurate records of all customer visits and sales; prepare comprehensive weekly and monthly performance reports.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Marketing, Economics, Business Administration, or a related social science field.
Experience:
2 years of proven experience in sales and business development.
Direct experience in the Solar/Renewable Energy sector is mandatory.
Technical Skills:
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
In-depth knowledge of B2B and B2C sales models and techniques.
