About Company:
Sproxil is a global brand protection & consumer engagement solutions provider specialized in the provision of cutting edge advanced technology to combat counterfeiting, product theft and adulterations; as well as providing a platform for consumer engagement.
Job Description:
- Direct PPMV Engagement & Data Collection.
- Function: Field Operations — Direct Provider Engagement.
- Engagement: Fixed-Term Contract (Renewable).
- Location: Field-Based — LGA / community-level deployment.
- Travel: Extensive — regular travel across assigned LGAs.
Role purpose
- The Field Officer is the most direct point of contact between Sproxil's programmes and Patent and Proprietary Medicine Vendors (PPMVs).
- Working at the LGA and community level, the Field Officer personally visits, trains, supports, and motivates PPMVs to participate actively in data collection activities — including mRDT image submission, patient survey completion, and barcode scanning.
- This is a high-activity, relationship-intensive role requiring someone who is energetic, personable, and deeply comfortable working in informal health retail environments.
- The Field Officer operates under the day-to-day direction of a Project Officer, who supervises their workload, reviews their reports, and escalates issues to programme management.
Key Responsibilities
PPMV Engagement & Relationship Management:
- Conduct regular in-person visits to assigned PPMVs and community pharmacies within designated LGAs, building trusted working relationships with providers.
- Actively recruit new PPMVs onto the programme by explaining participation benefits, demonstrating the submission process, and securing enrolment.
- Follow up with inactive or lapsed PPMVs to understand barriers and re-engage them in data submission activities.
- Serve as the day-to-day human face of Sproxil for participating providers — responding to questions, concerns, and requests promptly and professionally.
Training & On-Site Coaching:
- Conduct one-on-one and small group training sessions with PPMVs covering mRDT testing protocol, image capture via WhatsApp, barcode scanning, and the incentive redemption process.
- Provide hands-on coaching at PPMV outlets to correct errors in test administration, image quality, or submission behaviour.
- Deliver refresher training when new product batches, process updates, or quality issues require it.
Data Collection Support:
- Support PPMVs in achieving consistent, high-quality mRDT image submissions and patient survey completions in line with programme targets.
- Monitor individual PPMV submission rates and take immediate corrective action where performance is lagging.
- Verify data quality visually during visits — checking that test images meet AI-interpretability standards before submission.
Mystery Shopping & Compliance Verification:
- Conduct unannounced or scheduled mystery shopping visits to assess PPMV compliance with testing protocols, correct use of mRDTs, and accuracy of reported submissions.
- Document observations using standard templates and submit findings to the Project Officer for review and action.
- Flag providers exhibiting potential gaming behaviours (e.g. duplicate submissions, test kit reuse) to the Project Officer immediately.
Incentive & Materials Distribution:
- Distribute airtime credits, programme materials, job aids, and mRDT test kits to eligible PPMVs in accordance with programme policy.
- Maintain accurate records of materials received, distributed, and returned; conduct periodic physical counts.
- Assist PPMVs in troubleshooting incentive redemption issues via the Sproxil platform.
Reporting & Communication:
- Submit daily or weekly field visit logs detailing outlets visited, activities conducted, submission performance, and issues observed.
- Attend team briefings, engage stakeholders, attend stakeholder sessions, and training sessions as required
- Provide honest field intelligence on PPMV attitudes, community health dynamics, and emerging operational challenges.
Key Performance Indicators
- Number of PPMVs actively submitting data within assigned LGAs.
- Number of training and refresher sessions delivered.
- Weekly / monthly PPMV visit completion rate against target.
- Average mRDT image quality score for assigned PPMV cluster.
- Number of new PPMVs recruited and onboarded.
- Mystery shopping compliance rates for assigned outlets.
- Materials distribution accuracy and accountability.

Requirements:

- OND, HND, or Bachelor's Degree in any field; Health Sciences, Pharmacy Technology, or Community Development preferred.
- At least 1 year of experience in field sales, community outreach, FMCG territory work, or pharmaceutical distribution.
- Demonstrable familiarity with PPMVs, patent medicine stores, or community pharmacies in Nigeria.
- Comfortable using WhatsApp, smartphone cameras, and basic mobile apps for work purposes.
- Fluency in relevant local language(s) of the assigned state — this is non-negotiable for effective PPMV communication.
- Willingness to travel extensively within assigned LGAs on a daily basis.
- High energy, self-motivated, and comfortable working with limited supervision.
Desirable:
- Prior experience on a health data collection, community health worker, or pharmaceutical representative programme.
- Basic knowledge of malaria testing, mRDTs, or fever case management.
