About Company:
Alaro City Development FZC is an integrated, mixed-use city planned for over 2,000 hectares in the North West Quadrant of the Lekki Free Zone. Job Description:
We are looking for a highly skilled and proactive Field Civil Engineer to serve as our primary technical representative on-site. You will bridge the gap between complex engineering designs and field execution, ensuring that our projects are delivered to the highest technical, quality, and safety standards. This role demands a hands-on leader who is not only comfortable managing contractors and subcontractors but is also proficient in surveying, site coordination, and technical problem-solving. If you are an experienced professional with a track record of driving large-scale infrastructure or building projects, we want you to manage our site operations and ensure successful project delivery.
Requirements:
Site Coordination & Supervision: Direct all civil construction activities, managing the daily interactions between contractors, consultants, and internal teams.
Technical Execution: Review engineering drawings, BOQs, and technical documents prior to implementation. Provide on-site solutions for technical challenges to minimize delays.
Surveying & Precision: Utilize surveying instruments for accurate setting-out, measurements, and alignment of works. Ensure that all construction strictly follows geometric and structural specifications.
Progress & Cost Control: Monitor daily progress, manage material usage (including wastage analysis), and prepare detailed daily, weekly, and monthly reports. Develop 2–4 week "lookahead" programs to keep the project on track.
Quality & Safety Oversight: Enforce HSE policies, lead toolbox talks, and ensure all work is performed under approved permit-to-work systems. Conduct rigorous inspections, manage NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports), and coordinate closely with QA/QC teams for approvals.
Documentation: Maintain meticulous site diaries, ensure all site instructions are recorded, and oversee the snag/punch list process during project close-out.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Building Technology, or a related discipline. Demonstrable hands-on experience in Tier-1 construction environments may be considered.
Experience: 7–10 years of total experience in construction supervision, with at least 5 years in a supervisory role within large-scale infrastructure, industrial, or real estate projects.
