Job Description:

Kredit Africa is seeking a high-energy, results-driven Field Agent Manager to lead our boots-on-the-ground operations. This role is central to our growth, focusing on the strategic management of field agents, the aggressive driving of loan applications, and the implementation of robust customer engagement and debt recovery protocols.

The ideal candidate is a leader who thrives in the field, possesses sharp negotiation skills, and has a proven track record in the micro-lending or fintech space.

Requirements:

Agent Leadership & Performance

  • Team Management: Recruit, train, and oversee a high-performing team of field agents across Lagos.

  • Target Driving: Set daily and weekly targets for loan applications and ensure the team consistently meets or exceeds acquisition goals.

  • Field Supervision: Conduct regular field visits to monitor agent activity, provide on-the-job coaching, and ensure professional conduct.

Loan Growth & Recovery

  • Application Quality: Review incoming loan applications to ensure agents are targeting the right customer profile and collecting accurate data.

  • Recovery Operations: Lead the team in proactive debt recovery efforts, managing delinquent accounts through effective field engagement and negotiation.

  • Customer Engagement: Ensure agents maintain high levels of customer service and professional engagement throughout the loan lifecycle.

Reporting & Strategy

  • Market Insights: Monitor local market trends and competitor activity to refine field strategies.

  • Data Analysis: Prepare regular performance reports for management, highlighting growth opportunities and recovery success rates.

  • Process Improvement: Identify bottlenecks in the field application process and suggest workflow optimizations.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Experience:

    • Proven experience in managing field agents or sales teams, preferably within the fintech, microfinance, or credit industry.

    • Strong background in loan acquisition and debt recovery.

  • Leadership: A demonstrated ability to motivate a mobile workforce and drive performance in a high-pressure environment.

  • Communication: Exceptional negotiation and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle difficult customer interactions professionally.

  • Residency: Must be well-acquainted with the geography and demographics of Lagos State.

  • Core Competencies:

    • High level of integrity and accountability.

    • Results-oriented mindset with a focus on measurable KPIs.

    • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in the field.
