Job Description:

• Farm Attendants are responsible for executing routine farm tasks under the supervision of the Site Supervisor.
• The role requires discipline, consistency, and strict adherence to farm operational procedures and biosecurity protocols.

Job Summary

• Farm Attendants support daily livestock operations by carrying out feeding, watering, cleaning, and general animal care tasks.
• The role ensures animals are properly maintained and that farm facilities remain clean, safe, and compliant with farm SOPs.

Key Responsibilities

• Feed animals according to approved feeding schedules.
• Provide clean water to animals at all times.
• Clean animal pens, housing areas, and farm facilities.
• Assist in moving animals when required.
• Observe animals and report unusual behavior, sickness, or injuries.
• Support treatment administration when directed by the supervisor.
• Maintain cleanliness of feeding and watering equipment.
• Follow all farm SOPs and hygiene procedures.
• Support farm sanitation and waste disposal activities.
• Assist with harvesting or field support tasks when required.

Department: Farm Operations
Reports To: Site Supervisor / Veterinary Officer
Reporting Protocol: Operational instructions received from the Site Supervisor.

Requirements:

• Must be willing to work on a farm environment.
• Must follow farm hygiene and biosecurity rules.
• Must be physically capable of handling farm tasks.
• Ability to work early mornings and weekends when required.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education: Minimum of a secondary school education preferred.
• Experience: Previous farm or livestock experience is an advantage but not mandatory.

Skills:

• Ability to follow instructions and farm procedures
• Basic understanding of animal care
• Physical stamina for farm work
• Attention to detail when observing animals
• Teamwork and discipline.
