Mikano International is Nigerian company in the power generation, automobile, steel fabrication sectors. This company offers sales, maintenance, assembly and distribution of power generation products.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Description:

• A Facility Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations, maintenance, and overall functionality of an organization's physical premises.
• This role ensures that buildings, equipment, and systems are safe, efficient, and fully operational to support business activities.
• Facility supervisors act as a bridge between management, staff, and external vendors to ensure smooth operations and compliance with safety standards.

Responsibilities
Maintenance and Repairs:

• Schedule and supervise preventive maintenance activities to minimize breakdowns and downtime.
• Respond promptly to maintenance issues, breakdowns, or emergencies.
• Liaise with external vendors, contractors, and service providers for repair works and upgrades.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment service history, and facility assets.

Budget and Cost Management:

• Assist in preparing and managing the facility's maintenance budget.
• Monitor expenses related to utilities, repairs, and facility operations.
• Source cost-effective materials, equipment, and services without compromising quality.

Health, Safety, and Compliance:

• Implement and enforce safety policies and procedures across the facility.
• Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments.
• Ensure compliance with local laws, building codes, and occupational health and safety standards.
• Train employees on emergency procedures, including fire drills and evacuation plans.

Vendor and Contractor Management:

• Evaluate and select contractors or vendors for maintenance services, supplies, and upgrades.
• Monitor contractor performance and adherence to service agreements.
• Review and approve contracts or service-level agreements (SLAs).

Requirements:

• Candidates should possess relevant qualifiations with experience.

Required Skill sets:

• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Knowledge of building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical).
• Good budgeting and cost-control skills.
• Strong understanding of health and safety regulations.
• Effective communication and negotiation skills.
