Job Description:

Vetsark is seeking a strategic and hands-on Extension and Farmer Success Manager to drive the productivity, profitability, and retention of our poultry and aquaculture farmers. You will serve as the bridge between our technical interventions and the actual performance of our farming partners. If you have a strong background in animal science or agricultural extension, combined with proven leadership experience in managing field teams, this role offers the opportunity to directly impact agricultural growth and financial success in the sector.

Requirements:

• Portfolio Management: Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of farmers, from KYC and onboarding to input deployment, production monitoring, and harvest.

• Extension & Technical Guidance: Implement production-support programs, including training on vaccination, biosecurity, feeding protocols, and general farm management.

• Field Team Leadership: Supervise, recruit, and mentor extension officers and field agents. You will set performance targets, conduct joint farm visits, and ensure the integrity and productivity of the field team.

• Data-Driven Monitoring: Oversee the collection and analysis of critical farm data (mortality, feed consumption, weight gain) to ensure farmers remain on track for successful harvests.

• Repayment & Success: Partner with the Credit and Recovery teams to monitor portfolio risk. Develop corrective action plans for underperforming farms to ensure profitability and loan repayment.

• Harvest Coordination: Maintain accurate harvest forecasts and coordinate with commercial teams to ensure produce meets market quality and weight standards.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science, Veterinary Medicine, Agricultural Extension, Fisheries, Aquaculture, or a related field.

• Experience: 5+ years of professional experience in agricultural extension, livestock production, or farmer support.

• Technical Expertise: Strong practical knowledge of poultry production (Aquaculture experience is a distinct advantage).

• Skills:

  • Leadership: Proven ability to manage field teams and extension officers.

  • Digital Proficiency: Comfortable using spreadsheets, mobile applications, and farm-management systems for data reporting.

  • Operational: Experience with agricultural credit, structured offtake, and portfolio monitoring is highly desirable.

• Mobility: Must be willing to travel frequently to farm sites.
