Job Description:

We are seeking a seasoned Export Sales Manager to spearhead the international growth of our industrial packaging division. You will be responsible for expanding the footprint of our PP woven sacks, BOPP bags, and FIBC bulk bags across the West African market (ECOWAS) and beyond. This is a high-level strategic role for an expert who understands the complexities of international trade, logistics, and industrial sales, and who is ready to drive revenue growth through proactive market entry and relationship management.

Requirements:

  • Market Expansion: Identify and capture new export opportunities within the ECOWAS region, conducting deep-dive research into pricing, competitor activity, and regulatory landscapes.

  • Strategic Sales: Lead the end-to-end sales process from lead generation and RFQ management to high-stakes commercial negotiations with international buyers in the agriculture, cement, and manufacturing sectors.

  • Export Operations & Trade Compliance: Own the entire export lifecycle, including documentation (NXP, Bill of Lading, Certificate of Origin, Letters of Credit) and compliance with Nigerian Customs and NEPC regulations.

  • Internal Coordination: Bridge the gap between international demand and factory supply. Work closely with Production Planning, Quality Control (QA/QC), and Finance to ensure products meet global standards and payments are secured.

  • Relationship Management: Act as the primary interface for overseas distributors and end-users, handling technical clarifications, customizations, and shipment tracking to ensure exceptional service.

  • Performance Reporting: Provide data-driven insights to senior management, tracking profitability, logistics margins, and monthly sales forecasts.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in International Business, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field. (An MBA or export management certification is a strong plus).

  • Experience: Minimum of 8 years of dedicated export sales experience, ideally within the PP woven sacks, FIBC, or industrial packaging/plastics manufacturing industry.

  • Trade Expertise:

    • Comprehensive knowledge of Incoterms, Letters of Credit, Nigerian Export Proceeds (NXP) forms, and customs procedures.

    • Proven experience managing shipping logistics and freight forwarders.
