Job Description:
We are a fast-growing agritech startup on a mission to digitalize agriculture and improve market access for farmers across Africa. We are seeking a high-energy, intellectually curious Executive Associate to work directly with our CEO. This is a high-exposure, "chief-of-staff-lite" role designed for someone who wants to see under the hood of a tech startup and participate in the strategic decisions that drive scale.
The ideal candidate is a proactive generalist who can pivot from analyzing market data to coordinating logistics for a field project, all while ensuring the CEO’s strategic priorities stay on track.
Requirements:
Strategic Support & Research
Decision Support: Assist the CEO in executing strategic priorities by conducting deep-dive research and providing data-backed recommendations.
Market Intelligence: Perform competitor analysis, landscape scans, and market research to identify new growth opportunities in the African agritech ecosystem.
Fundraising & Grants: Support the preparation of investor-facing materials, grant applications, and accelerator program submissions.
Operations & Project Coordination
Cross-Functional Liaison: Coordinate projects across the Product, Operations, Partnerships, and Growth teams to ensure departmental alignment.
Execution Tracking: Manage and follow up on action items, timelines, and deliverables across teams to ensure nothing falls through the cracks.
Process Optimization: Help streamline internal workflows and proactively flag operational bottlenecks before they impact productivity.
Operational Agility: Assist with vendor coordination, logistics, and general operational tasks as the needs of the business evolve.
Communications & Stakeholder Management
Executive Correspondence: Draft professional communications, high-stakes presentations, and stakeholder-facing documents on behalf of the CEO.
Liaison Officer: Act as a central point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring professional and timely engagement.
Customer Engagement: Support basic customer communication and follow-ups to maintain strong user relationships.
Qualifications and Skills:
Experience:
0–2 years of experience in a startup environment, management consulting, operations, or a strategy-adjacent role.
Demonstrable track record of taking ownership of projects from start to finish.
Technical Skills:
High proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides).
Experience with project management tools like Notion, Trello, or Asana.
