Job Description:
We are seeking a high-performing, sophisticated Executive Assistant to provide comprehensive support to the Executive Leadership team. This is a role for a "Force Multiplier"—someone who can anticipate needs, manage high-stakes communication, and ensure that the executive’s office runs with surgical precision.
In a fast-moving news environment, you will act as the primary point of contact and bridge between the executive and internal/external stakeholders. If you are an execution-driven professional with a "zero-defect" approach to organization and the discretion to handle sensitive media and business data, we want you at News Central.
Requirements:
1. Executive Presence & Communication
Gatekeeping: Manage the Executive’s calendar and access with diplomacy, ensuring high-priority business and editorial matters take precedence.
Correspondence: Draft, review, and edit high-level correspondence, board briefs, and external announcements.
Liaison: Act as a professional representative of the Executive Office in meetings with government officials, media partners, and high-net-worth stakeholders.
2. Operations & Project Coordination
Meeting Governance: Coordinate board meetings and executive retreats—preparing agendas, taking minutes, and tracking the execution of action items.
Travel & Logistics: Manage complex, multi-city travel itineraries, including visa processing and security briefings for domestic and international trips.
Workflow Optimization: Implement digital tools (Notion, Slack, Trello) to streamline the flow of information and task tracking within the executive office.
3. Research & Strategic Support
Intelligence Briefing: Conduct background research on potential partners, industry trends, and political developments to prepare the Executive for high-level engagements.
Presentation Design: Collaborate with the creative team to build visually compelling slide decks and data reports for board and stakeholder presentations.
Special Projects: Lead ad-hoc projects, ranging from corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives to internal operational audits.
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Profile
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in International Relations, Law, Mass Communication, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience: Proven track record as an EA to a C-suite Executive or Senior Director, preferably in a media, legal, or multinational environment.
NYSC: Completed.
Core Competencies
Emotional Intelligence: Ability to remain calm and decisive in a high-pressure newsroom environment.
Writing Mastery: Exceptional command of the English language with a flair for professional and persuasive writing.
Tech Proficiency: Expert level in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel and PowerPoint are critical).
Discretion: Absolute integrity in handling confidential corporate strategy and editorial secrets.
