Job Description:
We are seeking a high-velocity and strategically elite Escravos Base Engineer to anchor our maritime engine in Rivers State. In the specialized offshore support environment of the Escravos Chevron base, success is defined by "Base Operations Sovereignty", the ability to harmonize high-fidelity engine repairs with the clinical precision required for preventative maintenance, condition surveys, and vessel technical availability. This role is designed for a "Marine Architect" with a Mechanical Engineering degree and 5+ years of industry experience who can blend "Technical Grit" (repairing defective on-board equipment) with the "Operational Agility" required to manage multi-discipline technical teams.
Requirements:
1. Engineering Orchestration & Maintenance Governance
Availability Sovereignty: Manage preventative and corrective maintenance to ensure high-fidelity vessel technical availability, acting as the primary "Source of Operational Readiness."
Survey Architecture: Conduct full condition surveys for dry docks and planned stop-over periods, providing the "Analytical Foundation" for the scope of work and spare parts requirements.
Repair Stewardship: Manage different technical teams with clinical focus to ensure correct repairs are performed, maintaining the "Source of Mechanical Integrity."
2. Resource Resilience & Inventory Logic
Inventory Sovereignty: Carry out and monthly update the list of tools and spares, ensuring the database remains a "Source of Truth" for line management.
Asset Architecture: Reduce tool consumption and ensure all equipment is in prime condition for use, acting as the primary "Source of Resource Efficiency."
Safety Stewardship: Improve safety in operations and apply company safety rules with millimetric focus, ensuring the "Source of Safety Records" is consistently improved.
3. Human Capital Integrity & Professional Power
Spirit Sovereignty: Contribute to developing team spirit and technical knowledge, acting as the "Source of Collective Excellence" at the Escravos base.
Development Architecture: Implement competence development plans for the technical team, utilizing 5 years of marine engineering experience to optimize the "Source of Skill Transfer."
HSE Logic: Promote and enforce HSE rules across all maintenance activities, providing the "Source of Risk Mitigation" for on-board and base-side operations.
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Profile
Education: Mechanical Engineering degree or a closely related technical qualification.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of robust experience in the marine engineering industry within a technical department.
Location Focus: Ability to operate effectively at the Escravos Chevron Base.
