Job Description:
We are seeking a highly experienced Marine Advisor III to lead and assure the safe, efficient turnaround of gas carriers and condensate tankers. This role is critical in managing port services, overseeing specialized contractors (tugs/marine providers), and ensuring the integrity of complex offshore drilling and completion (D&C) operations.
The successful candidate will be a technical authority on marine safety, rig movements, and vessel inspections, operating under a rigorous "Nobody Gets Hurt" safety culture.
Requirements:
Specialized Marine Inspections
Rig & Equipment Oversight: Conduct high-level inspections of marine equipment onboard rigs, well intervention vessels, and D&C support craft.
Vessel Auditing: Lead inspections for diverse marine spreads, including AHTS, SSV, PSV, and specialized Geotechnical/Geophysical vessels.
Compliance: Ensure all vessels and equipment meet international maritime standards and company-specific Operations Integrity Management Systems (OIMS 8-1).
Rig Moves & Well Intervention
Jack-Up Operations: Lead and supervise complex Jack-Up rig moves at platform operations, ensuring zero incidents during transit and positioning.
Advanced Fleet Support: Manage marine activities for rigless completions and well intervention vessel movements.
Advisory: Provide expert guidance on mooring operations, best practices for large tankers, and offshore drilling marine spreads.
Contractor & Port Management
Service Oversight: Manage and audit critical marine contractors, including tug boat operators and port service providers.
Turnaround Management: Optimize the berthing, loading, and departure cycles for gas carriers and condensate tankers.
Qualifications and Skills:
Certification (Mandatory): Must possess a valid Master Mariner’s License (Class 1).
Experience: 10–15 years of maritime experience, including significant time in a Senior Officer position.
Rig Move Expertise: Must have led a minimum of 20 Jack-Up rig moves at platform locations.
Inspection Pedigree: Extensive experience performing marine inspections for drilling support vessels (AHTS, PSV, etc.) and geotechnical vessels.
Education: University degree or an Advanced Degree in a relevant Engineering or Maritime field.
Advantageous Experience: Experience with TADR (Tender Assisted Drilling Rigs), Semi-Submersibles, or Drillships.
Safety & Systems: Expert knowledge of large tanker mooring best practices and Operations Integrity Systems.
