Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical & Maintenance Technician to ensure the continuous and efficient operation of our production facility. This role is critical for minimizing downtime through rigorous preventive maintenance and rapid emergency repairs. You will be responsible for the health of all factory machinery, industrial electrical systems, and control panels.
The ideal candidate is a technical problem-solver who can diagnose complex faults under pressure and maintain a safe, high-performance manufacturing environment.
Requirements:
Technical Maintenance & Repair
Preventive Maintenance: Execute routine maintenance schedules on factory machines to identify potential issues before they lead to production halts.
Fault Diagnosis: Rapidly diagnose and resolve both electrical and mechanical faults in industrial equipment.
Systems Troubleshooting: Install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical wiring, control panels, motors, and industrial control systems.
Emergency Response: Provide immediate technical support during machine breakdowns and production emergencies to restore operations.
Installation & Optimization
Setup Support: Assist in the installation, wiring, and calibration of new machinery and equipment.
Performance Monitoring: Continuously monitor machine efficiency and recommend technical improvements or upgrades where necessary.
Technical Literacy: Read and interpret electrical diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals to guide repairs and installations.
Operational Accountability
Documentation: Maintain meticulous records of all repairs, maintenance schedules, and spare parts inventory.
Safety Compliance: Ensure all maintenance activities strictly adhere to industrial safety standards and company policies.
Tool Management: Properly handle, maintain, and store all specialized tools and maintenance equipment.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education: * Minimum of OND, Technical Certificate, Trade Test, or an equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
Experience: * 2–5 years of relevant experience in factory machine maintenance and industrial electrical work.
Core Competencies:
Industrial Systems: Deep understanding of industrial electrical panels, 3-phase motors, and wiring.
Problem Solving: Exceptional troubleshooting skills with a methodical approach to fault diagnosis.
Safety Mastery: Thorough knowledge of industrial safety procedures and preventive maintenance best practices.
Preferred Skills:
Prior experience in a high-volume manufacturing or production environment.
Knowledge of PLC systems and industrial automation is a significant advantage.
Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with production and management teams.
