Job Description:

• Prepare electrical designs, load calculations, and technical drawings for residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments.
• Design power distribution systems, lighting layouts, earthing systems, and lightning protection systems.
• Review architectural and mechanical drawings to coordinate electrical requirements.
• Prepare single-line diagrams, cable schedules, and equipment specifications.
• Supervise installation of electrical systems at construction sites.
• Ensure installations meet project specifications, electrical codes, and safety standards.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and other engineering team.
• Monitor project timelines and ensure electrical works are completed within schedule.
• Conduct testing and commissioning of electrical installations such as transformers, generators, switchgear, and lighting systems.
• Verify proper operation of systems including fire alarm, emergency lighting, and backup power systems.
• Troubleshoot electrical faults and ensure timely resolution.
• Ensure compliance with local electrical regulations, building codes, and safety standards.
• Conduct inspections and quality checks on electrical installations.
• Maintain documentation of electrical systems, drawings, and maintenance records.
• Prepare technical specifications for electrical equipment and materials.
• Evaluate contractor and supplier proposals.
• Assist in cost estimation and budgeting for electrical works.
• Provide technical support for maintenance of electrical systems in completed properties.
• Recommend upgrades or improvements to improve energy efficiency and reliability.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• PMP certificationis an advantage.
• 10–12 years of experience in electrical engineering within construction, real estate development, or infrastructure projects.
• Experience in residential and commercial building projects is preferred.
• Knowledge of electrical design standards and building codes.
• Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD, ETAP, or similar tools.
• Understanding of power distribution, generators, transformers, and building electrical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
