Job Description:
Are you a hands-on Electrical Engineer with a passion for large-scale industrial systems? We are seeking a technical expert to drive the design, maintenance, and improvement of electrical infrastructure across our workshops and project sites.
In this role, you will be at the heart of our Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) operations, ensuring high reliability and safety for power distribution networks, hybrid energy systems, and heavy industrial equipment.
Requirements:
Electrical Design & System Engineering
Design and size complex electrical installations, including wiring, control systems, and LV/MV power distribution.
Evaluate and optimize power supply systems, including diesel generators, hybrid setups, and renewable energy (Solar/PV) integrations.
Prepare detailed Bill of Quantities (BOQ), electrical estimates, and technical evaluations for upcoming projects.
Ensure all designs and site works comply with IEC/IEEE standards and local Nigerian electrical regulations.
Maintenance & Operational Efficiency
Develop and implement advanced preventive maintenance (PM) procedures and diagnostic methods.
Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to identify recurring failures and propose long-term engineering solutions.
Maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including Single Line Diagrams (SLD) and inspection checklists.
Project Coordination & Leadership
Support tenders, project mobilization, and the commissioning of major site installations.
Supervise internal technical teams and subcontractors to ensure quality and safety on-site.
Act as a technical mentor, providing training and competency development for junior engineers and technicians.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education: Degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical field.
Experience: 5–8 years of proven experience in industrial power systems, heavy equipment maintenance, or large-scale construction projects.
Project Skills: Strong background in Testing & Commissioning, cost estimation, and feasibility studies.
Leadership: Confident in supervising multidisciplinary teams in challenging environments.
Communication: Excellent English skills (B2/C1 level) with the ability to build trust with stakeholders and partners.
