Job Description:
We are seeking a high-velocity and strategically elite Dry Dock Engineer to anchor our maritime engine in Rivers State. In the specialized offshore and subsea sector, success is defined by "Vessel Sovereignty", the ability to lead multi-discipline teams with the clinical precision required for preventative maintenance, condition surveys, and the safe, timely completion of dry dock scopes. This role is designed for a "Technical Architect" with a relevant tertiary qualification and 3+ years of maritime experience who can blend "Engineering Grit" (managing corrective maintenance) with the "Operational Agility" required to drive BINL Technical Availability above 90%.
Requirements:
1. Technical Orchestration & Availability Governance
Availability Sovereignty: Lead multi-discipline Dry Dock Teams to maintain vessel availability above 90%, acting as the primary "Source of Operational Readiness."
Maintenance Architecture: Manage both preventative and corrective maintenance activities for assigned vessels, ensuring every action acts as a "Source of Asset Longevity."
Survey Stewardship: Conduct high-fidelity condition surveys before dry dock periods, providing the "Analytical Foundation" for the scope of work and spare parts procurement.
2. Operational Resilience & Schedule Logic
Project Sovereignty: Manage technical teams with clinical focus to ensure the scope of work is completed safely and to a high standard, acting as the "Source of Project Integrity."
Reporting Architecture: Provide the Reliability Supervisor with daily high-fidelity updates, ensuring "Zero-Lapse" in communicating progress or quality concerns.
Planning Stewardship: Detail the labour, durations, and resources required for every dry dock cycle, maintaining the "Source of Schedule Accuracy."
3. Human Capital Integrity & Professional Power
Training Sovereignty: Train and develop technical teams under your supervision, acting as the "Source of Skill Enhancement" and daily task mastery.
Technical Architecture: Assist the Technical Manager in broader system improvements, utilizing 3+ years of maritime experience to optimize the "Source of Technical Advice."
Compliance Logic: Ensure all works are completed safely and in line with maritime regulations, providing the "Source of Safety Excellence" for the Rivers-based fleet.
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Profile
Education: Relevant Tertiary Qualification (Mechanical, Marine, or Electrical Engineering).
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of robust experience in the maritime industry within a technical department.
Technical Mastery: Highly Computer Literate with a focus on project management or maintenance software.
