We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Description:
- Provides strategic direction and resources for flight operations department (Flight, Inflight, Operational Control Center, Training, Crew Resources, and Crew Scheduling)
- Leads in the development of innovative changes to current practices and processes, leveraging technology and automation to transform how flight operations works
- Continually completes reviews on the suitability, adequacy, and effectiveness of policies and procedures
- Provides necessary support for the Company’s Safety Management System, Internal Evaluation and Safety Audit Programs
- Ensures that all flight operations meet or exceed the standard required by the NCAA, GAA and any additional standards established by other authorities
- Reviews flight schedules, flight crew bid sheet, crew schedules, federal regulations, contract provisions, and company policies
- Establishes a system for supervision of the operation to ensure adherence to flight safety standards
- Ensures the production and revision of manuals, flight operation, flight crew, dispatch, cabin crew, and training documents
- Ensures that formal requirements for maintaining the AOC are fulfilled
- Ensures that the sufficient flight crew, dispatch, cabin crew, and training staff are available for the intended operations
- Acts as principal flight operations representative and liaison with regulatory, industry and other relevant external entities
- Performs other duties as assigned to support the efficient operations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as Commander in commercial air transport operations of large aircraft
- 15 or more years of managerial experience at a high level in the commercial airline industry
- Pilot-In-Command Parts 135 & 121 strongly desired
- Hold an ATP License acceptable to the NCAA
- Total of more than 8000 total flying hours
- Must possess an airline transport pilot certificate with appropriate type ratings
- High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint; web-based programs and a wide range of email/calendar systems.
