Job Description:
As the Logistics Assistant, you will work closely with the Logistics manager to plan, manage and facilitate the overall supply chain needs/requirements of the company including handling deliveries across all locations and branches, liaising with logistics companies/vendors, managing stocks, and other fleet concerns to deliver products on deadlines.
You will be charged with the responsibility assisting with running the store-keepingand stock management of the products shipment, assembled and materials/parts received into the warehouse.
Responsibilities
- Strategic planning and management of logistics, warehouse, transportation and customer service with other inventory team.
- Assist the Logistics Manager in overseeing and monitoring of quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs, and efficiency.
- Organizing warehouse, categorizing goods, planning routes, and assist in processing shipments.
- Proper checking of goods to identify defectives
- Resolving delivery inconsistencies or delay.
- Optimize transportation routes to minimize costs and maximize efficiency.
- Assist in planning and scheduling shipments to ensure timely delivery to customers.
- Assist in overseeing the movement, storage, and distribution of goods or materials.
- Taking care of inquiries or compliance issues related to shipping or transportation matters.
- Ensuring that shipping documents are well kept, updated, and in compliance. Examples include cost statements/ receipt, stock counts, delivery of products, product delivery and shipment documents,etc.
- Assist intracking, receiving, and stocking all items ordered.
- Ensure materials are appropriately stored.
- Working proactively with the cashier in ensuring and realizing efficiencyin inventory management.
- Communicate with carriers, suppliers, and customers to resolve issues and ensure smooth operation

Qualifications and Skills:
- SSCE, GCE, NECO
- Must know how to drive with a valid driver license.
- Good knowledge of Lagos road is very important
- At least 2 years of proven experience as a Delivery Officer
- Excellent analytical, problem solving and organizational skills.
- Great commercial and business understanding
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Record of successful distribution and logistics management
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects.
- High computer literacy is an advantage.
- Must reside around the job location (Alaba)
