Job Description:

The Crane Operator (CO/BESL certified) will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of cranes and lifting equipment used in offshore and onshore oil and gas operations. The role ensures adherence to safety standards, company policies, and international best practices while handling heavy loads, equipment, and materials.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate pedestal, mobile, and offshore cranes in accordance with BESL/CO certification and company standards.

• Conduct daily pre-use inspections and routine maintenance checks on cranes and lifting equipment.

• Safely lift, move, and position heavy equipment, pipes, and other materials during drilling, production, or construction activities.

• Collaborate with riggers, banksmen, and lifting supervisors to ensure safe lifting operations.

• Ensure strict compliance with Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations (LOLER) and other safety guidelines.

• Report defects, malfunctions, or incidents immediately and coordinate with the maintenance team for repairs.

• Participate in toolbox talks, risk assessments, and safety drills to maintain a hazard-free work environment.

• Maintain accurate records of crane operations, inspections, and maintenance logs.

• Provide support during emergency situations involving lifting equipment.

• Uphold safety, health, and environmental standards in all operations.

Requirements:

• Knowledge of crane mechanics, rigging practices, and lifting procedures.

• Physically fit to work in offshore/onshore oil and gas environments.
