Job Description:

  • This is a full-time, on-site role based in Lagos State, Nigeria, for a Content Officer.
  • The Content Officer will be responsible for developing, managing, and implementing creative content across various platforms.
  • Key duties include writing and editing mental health content, managing content within digital platforms, and coordinating social media campaigns to engage the organisation’s audience and promote mental health awareness.
  • The role also involves collaborating with the team to execute a cohesive content strategy and ensuring alignment with the organisation’s goals.

 

Safeguarding Responsibilities

  • Promote a culture of safeguarding by ensuring that all online interactions are respectful and safe.
  • Ensure all content protects the dignity and privacy of individuals, particularly those with lived experience of mental health issues.

 

The purpose of this job shall be to:

  • Create, improve, and maintain engaging content to promote a positive image of the organisation.
  • Drive brand awareness by being involved in all stages of the communication process, from concept to message development to result-oriented evaluation.

Requirements:

  • Excellent knowledge of content creation.
  • Ability to effectively use a variety of social media platforms and Analytic tools.
  • Strong understanding of mental health issues, advocacy, and related terminologies.
  • Computer Literate: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, WordPress.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Communication, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience as a content officer, or a similar role, preferably within the non-profit or advocacy sector.
