Job Description:
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic CNG Business Development Manager to lead our Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) initiatives in Nigeria. You will be responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of CNG projects, from conceptualization and commissioning to commercial scaling. The ideal candidate will combine technical engineering knowledge with robust commercial acumen to position our firm as a market leader in the Nigerian energy sector.
Requirements:
Project Development & Execution
End-to-End Project Management: Oversee CNG project lifecycles, ensuring seamless transitions from initial concept to final commissioning.
Stakeholder Coordination: Manage relationships with contractors, consultants, and regulatory bodies to ensure project delivery is safe, on-budget, and on-schedule.
Performance Oversight: Monitor project schedules, quality standards, and budget utilization; provide data-driven progress reports to senior management.
Risk Mitigation: Proactively identify project obstacles and implement robust risk management strategies to ensure operational continuity.
Compliance: Maintain strict adherence to Nigerian statutory requirements and global industry safety standards.
Commercial Growth & Strategy
Market Positioning: Develop and execute strategic marketing plans to establish the company as a preferred CNG supplier.
Client Acquisition: Identify, onboard, and nurture high-value client relationships; manage key portfolios to drive sustained revenue growth.
Contract Negotiation: Lead complex commercial negotiations, ensuring favorable terms and full alignment with corporate policies.
Revenue Optimization: Develop competitive pricing strategies based on real-time market analysis and benchmarking; oversee efficient invoicing and collection processes.
Team Leadership
Strategic Leadership: Build, mentor, and motivate a high-performing, cross-functional team to exceed commercial and technical targets.
Performance Management: Foster a culture of continuous improvement through clear goal-setting, coaching, and regular performance reviews.
Collaboration: Facilitate knowledge sharing and internal synergy to drive innovation within the energy sector.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
Preferred: A Master’s degree (MBA/MSc) and relevant professional energy certifications are strong advantages.
Experience: Proven professional experience in the CNG, Oil & Gas, or energy-related sectors. A deep understanding of the Nigerian energy regulatory framework is essential.
