Job Description:

Olam Packaged Foods Business (PFB) is seeking a strategic and results-driven Category/Brand Marketing Manager to steward our diverse portfolio of leading consumer brands. From market-leading tomato pastes and instant noodles to dairy and pasta, you will be the owner of the category’s success. You will sit at the critical intersection of consumer insights, product innovation, and trade execution, ensuring that our brands not only stay relevant but dominate the competitive landscape in West Africa.

Requirements:

  • Strategic Category Management: Define and execute the long-term vision for assigned categories. You will analyze performance data, consumer trends, and competitive intelligence to pivot strategies and unlock growth.

  • Brand Stewardship: Develop and maintain Brand Architecture and Brand Pyramids for all assigned brands. You will ensure consistent communication across all 360-degree touchpoints (ATL, BTL, Digital, and Trade).

  • Innovation & Renovation (NPD/DTV): Champion the "Stage-Gate" methodology for New Product Development (NPD) and Design-to-Value (DTV) projects. You will turn consumer immersion and trade visits into actionable product improvements.

  • Integrated Marketing Execution: Co-develop the annual brand calendar, leading the delivery of holistic campaigns that drive trial, loyalty, and brand equity.

  • Trade & Channel Strategy: Collaborate closely with Sales and Trade Marketing teams to design in-store visibility, channel-specific activations, and promotional programs that ensure product availability and movement.

  • Financial & Performance Ownership: Manage the category P&L. You are accountable for ROI on marketing spend, revenue targets, profit margins, and market share growth.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field. (MBA is highly preferred).

  • Experience: 5–10 years in FMCG marketing, with a minimum of 3 years in a dedicated Category or Brand Management role.

  • Industry Expertise: Strong command of the West African FMCG landscape, including deep knowledge of consumer behavior, trade marketing, and distribution dynamics.
