Job Description:
Position Summary:
The CFA Field Monitor Assistant will play a vital role in supporting the implementation and day-to-day monitoring of Cash for Asset (CFA) activities within target communities. This includes overseeing worksite operations, promoting active community engagement, collecting relevant data, and coordinating with beneficiaries and stakeholders to ensure timely, transparent, and effective delivery of CFA interventions.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in the identification and registration of eligible beneficiaries in partnership with community leaders.
Oversee daily CFA site activities, monitor participant attendance, and ensure the quality of work is maintained.
Monitoring and Data Collection
Maintain accurate daily records of attendance, task progress, and participant feedback.
Submit timely daily and weekly reports on field activities to the CFA Field Officer.
Capture field photos and document impactful stories and successes for reporting purposes.
Community Engagement
Help address concerns or complaints from participants through the established feedback channels.
Promote inclusive participation, with a focus on gender equity and the involvement of vulnerable groups
Compliance and Accountability
Ensure all field activities align with internal policies, donor regulations, and safety procedures.
Monitor the correct use of tools and compliance with agreed work schedules.
Support the verification process of beneficiaries during cash distribution exercises.
Requirements:
Experience:
- At least 2 year of experience supporting humanitarian or community-based projects.
- Experience in cash-for-work, livelihoods, or food security programming is an advantage
Working Conditions:
- Field-based role with regular travel to remote communities.
- May require working in challenging or emergency environments.
Duration:
- 9 months with possible extension
Qualifications and Skills:
Foundational knowledge of community engagement and field-level monitoring.
Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication abilities.
Proficiency in speaking and understanding local languages such as Hausa and Fulfulde.
Basic skills in reporting, documentation, and record-keeping.
