About Company:
Alan & Grant - Our client offers culinary solutions in several countries of Europe and Africa.
Job Description:
We are seeking a high-impact Capability Manager to serve as the chief architect of our salesforce's competitive edge. In the fast-moving FMCG landscape, our success is defined by the technical proficiency and execution discipline of our field teams. This role is designed for a "Sales Mentor & Process Strategist", someone with 7–10 years of commercial experience who can translate high-level business goals into practical, field-ready coaching programs.
Your mission is to close the gap between "Strategy" and "Execution." You will be responsible for the entire learning lifecycle: from identifying frontline skill gaps and designing Route-to-Market (RTM) playbooks to providing on-the-job coaching for Sales Managers. If you possess a proven track record in FMCG sales and the pedagogical grit to drive behavioral change in a diverse workforce, we want you to lead our capability function.
Requirements:
1. Commercial Capability & RTM Architecture
Skill Gap Analysis: Conduct rigorous field audits to identify performance bottlenecks across sales teams, distributors, and territory managers.
Structured Learning Journeys: Design multi-level developmental pathways that move sales personnel from "Onboarding" to "Mastery" in customer engagement and distributor management.
Execution Benchmarking: Embed global best practices in territory management and outlet activation to ensure a unified "Way of Selling."
2. Training, Facilitation & Field Coaching
The "Coaching-the-Coach" Model: Deliver high-impact workshops and, more importantly, provide "Live" field coaching to Sales Managers to ensure they can effectively develop their own teams.
Toolkit Creation: Develop localized sales playbooks, toolkits, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) that simplify complex RTM concepts for frontline staff.
Onboarding Excellence: Lead the commercial integration of new hires, ensuring they hit "Peak Productivity" in record time.
3. Performance Engineering & Stakeholder Synergy
Sales Excellence Partnering: Collaborate with Sales and Marketing leads to align training initiatives with current revenue growth and market penetration targets.
Behavioral Monitoring: Track the adoption of new sales tools and frameworks, ensuring that training results in measurable, long-term behavioral changes in the field.
Data-Driven Insights: Analyze field performance data and "SFA" (Sales Force Automation) metrics to identify where capability interventions are most needed.
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Profile
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
Experience: 7–10 years of heavy commercial or sales experience, with a mandatory background in FMCG (Foods/Beverages).
Track Record: A proven history of high-performance field sales leadership is essential.
Certifications: Professional certifications in Sales, Coaching (e.g., ICF), or Learning & Development are highly advantageous.
Core Competencies
Facilitation Mastery: Ability to engage and persuade diverse groups, from junior sales reps to senior regional managers.
Analytical Grit: Proficiency in interpreting sales data to pinpoint specific training needs.
Strategic Alignment: Capability to link "Soft Skills" (Coaching) to "Hard Results" (Revenue & Volume).
