Job Description:

  • We are currently seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Business Operations Officer to join our team. This entry-level position is ideal for an individual who is passionate about business operations, committed to supporting organisational growth, and eager to learn.
  • The successful candidate will work closely with various teams across the organisation to help achieve key operational goals and ensure smooth day-to-day processes.

Role Description

  • The Business Operations Officer will support the smooth and efficient functioning of the organisation’s daily activities. This role is responsible for overseeing the operational processes, monitoring business performance, and ensuring that teams have the resources and support they need to achieve set goals.
  • The officer will help track projects, analyse operational data, prepare reports, and streamline workflows. They will also collaborate with multiple departments to ensure consistent alignment with business objectives.
  • We’re looking for a strategic yet hands-on officer to own the end-to-end growth engine of the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor business processes and identify areas for improvement to enhance productivity.
  • Support the day-to-day operational activities of the business to ensure efficiency and smooth workflow.
  • Assist in coordinating cross-functional projects and ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Prepare and maintain operational reports, documentation, and performance dashboards.
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide insights to management to support decision-making.
  • Assist with scheduling, planning, and organising internal activities, meetings, and operational tasks.
  • Work closely with various teams to ensure alignment with overall business goals.
  • Help manage vendor relationships, inventory, supplies, and other operational resources.
  • Support the development and implementation of new operational procedures and policies.
  • Handle basic administrative tasks such as data entry, record management, and correspondence.
  • Assist in identifying operational risks and flagging issues that require management attention.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and operational excellence projects.

Requirements:

  • 0–2 years of relevant experience (internship, NYSC, or administrative/operations support experience preferred).
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving abilities with strong attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments and maintain positive working relationships.
  • Strong sense of responsibility, integrity, and professionalism.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, adapt quickly, and take initiative.
  • Basic knowledge of operational processes, reporting, or project coordination is an advantage.
  • Willingness to learn new systems, tools, and operational procedures.
  • Strong time-management skills and the ability to prioritise work effectively.

Experience:

  • 0–2 years of experience in business operations, administration, project coordination or any related field.
  • Internship, NYSC placement, or volunteer experience in a business, NGO, or corporate environment is an advantage.
  • Experience supporting teams, managing tasks, or handling administrative duties is beneficial but not mandatory.
  • Exposure to business development, data entry, report preparation, or process documentation is a plus.
  • Candidates will be required to demonstrate strong motivation, willingness to learn, and the ability to adapt quickly.

Skills:

  • Strong organisational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and basic familiarity with Google Workspace.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and build positive working relationships.
  • Willingness to learn, adapt quickly, and take initiative in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic understanding of business operations, administrative processes, or project coordination is an advantage.
  • Strong work ethic, professionalism, and a proactive mindset.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Experience with reporting tools or basic data analysis (an added advantage).

Salary

N150,000 / Month + Bonus
