Job Description:
We are seeking a high-velocity Business Development / Sales Officer to serve as a primary engine of our market expansion. In an increasingly competitive landscape, growth is not just about transactions; it is about identifying white-space opportunities and building sustainable revenue streams. This role is designed for a "Market Hunter", a professional with 2–12 years of experience who can dissect market trends and translate them into a winning sales pipeline.
Your mission is to command the growth lifecycle from "Prospecting" to "Partnership." You will be responsible for the entire acquisition journey: from aggressive lead generation and competitive benchmarking to high-stakes negotiations and revenue forecasting. If you possess a "Business-Minded" approach and the analytical grit to stay ahead of market shifts, we want you to drive our Lagos operations.
Requirements:
1. Customer Acquisition & Revenue Architecture
Opportunity Identification: Proactively identify and acquire new customers and high-value business opportunities to expand our market footprint.
Revenue Optimization: Implement aggressive sales strategies to drive consistent revenue growth and meet or exceed quarterly organizational targets.
Lead Conversion: Manage the full sales funnel, ensuring a high velocity from initial contact to closed contract.
2. Market Intelligence & Competitive Strategy
Trend Analysis: Develop a deep understanding of evolving market trends and customer needs to tailor our value proposition effectively.
Competitive Benchmarking: Conduct rigorous competitive analysis to identify market threats and opportunities, ensuring our brand stays ahead of industry rivals.
Strategic Reporting: Prepare detailed sales reports and forecasts that provide leadership with actionable insights into market performance.
3. Partnership Management & Relationship Capital
Stakeholder Synergy: Build and maintain strong, trust-based partnerships with key clients and industry stakeholders to ensure long-term business sustainability.
Negotiation Leadership: Lead complex commercial discussions, utilizing strong negotiation skills to secure favorable terms for the organization.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with marketing and product teams to ensure our sales efforts are perfectly aligned with the company’s broader strategic goals.
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Profile
Education: BA / BSc / HND in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related discipline.
Experience: 2 – 12 years of progressive experience in Sales, Marketing, or Business Development (Experience in the Lagos market is a significant advantage).
