Job Description:

We are seeking a results-oriented and strategically minded Business Development Officer to drive growth and expansion from our Ikoyi office. In this role, you will be the primary engine for revenue generation, responsible for identifying untapped market opportunities and converting them into long-term client partnerships. This position requires a professional who can blend financial literacy with the interpersonal "grace" needed to manage high-net-worth and corporate relationships.

The ideal candidate is a proactive "hunter" for new business who also understands the technical nuances of financial products and services.

Requirements:

Revenue Growth & Market Expansion

  • Opportunity Identification: Actively identify and pursue new business avenues to consistently increase company revenue and market share.

  • Lead Generation: Utilize networking, referrals, and rigorous market research to build a robust pipeline of prospective leads.

  • Strategic Implementation: Develop and execute tailored strategies designed to attract new high-value clients while ensuring the retention of the existing portfolio.

Client Relationship Management

  • Consultative Selling: Analyze and understand the specific financial needs of both corporate and individual clients, recommending the most suitable financial solutions from our suite of services.

  • Partnership Building: Establish and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers.

  • Service Excellence: Ensure a premium level of customer satisfaction by overseeing smooth service delivery and acting as a dedicated point of contact for client inquiries.

Sales Intelligence & Administration

  • Negotiation: Lead negotiations to secure favorable terms for the company while delivering value to the client.

  • Market Analysis: Utilize analytical skills to solve complex client challenges and stay ahead of trends in the financial services sector.

  • Reporting: Use Microsoft Office tools to document sales activities, track progress against targets, and provide regular updates to management.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Education: HND or Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field.

  • Experience:

    • 2–3 years of proven experience in business development or sales.

    • Added Advantage: Direct experience working within a Financial Services firm (Banking, Insurance, Fintech, or Asset Management).

  • Technical Skills:

    • Deep knowledge of financial products and investment services.

    • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

  • Core Competencies:

    • Sales Prowess: Strong negotiation and persuasion skills with a track record of meeting revenue targets.

    • Communication: Exceptional verbal and written interpersonal skills, suitable for the Ikoyi business environment.

    • Problem-Solving: Ability to interpret financial data and provide creative solutions to client needs.

  • Location: Must be able to commute to Ikoyi, Lagos, for full-time operations.

Salary

₦250,000 - ₦300,000/month
