Job Description:
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, driving sales growth, developing strategic partnerships, and enhancing the company's market presence for its real estate projects in Enugu State and the FCT. The role requires strong knowledge of the local property market, negotiation skills, and the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Strategy
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the real estate sector, including land acquisitions, property sales, and joint ventures.
- Develop and implement business development strategies to achieve revenue targets and market share growth.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify trends, pricing strategies, and customer preferences.
Client Acquisition & Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with potential and existing clients, investors, and partners.
- Manage the sales pipeline, from lead generation to deal closure, ensuring high client satisfaction.
- Organize property viewings, presentations, and negotiations.
Marketing & Brand Positioning
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional campaigns and digital strategies targeting high-net-worth individuals and institutional investors.
- Represent the company at networking events, property exhibitions, and industry forums.
Financial & Contract Management
- Prepare proposals, presentations, and financial models for prospective clients.
- Negotiate terms of agreements and manage contractual documentation.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements for property transactions.
Reporting & Performance Monitoring
- Maintain accurate records of business development activities, including leads, deals, and partnerships.
- Prepare periodic sales reports and forecasts for management review.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Monthly and quarterly sales targets achieved.
- Number of new clients acquired and retained.
- Value of new projects and partnerships initiated.
- Market penetration and brand visibility in Enugu real estate sector.
Requirements:
- Technical Skills:
- Strong negotiation and closing skills.
- Excellent understanding of Enugu and FCT property market trends and real estate regulations.
- Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strategic thinker with problem-solving ability.
- Self-motivated and result-driven.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Real Estate Management, or a related field (Master’s degree is an added advantage).
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in real estate sales, business development, or property consulting.
