Job Description:

On behalf of our client, we are seeking highly driven and commercially aggressive Business Development Executives to establish a strong market presence and drive project acquisition within the construction ecosystem.

In this role, you will be responsible for tracking active and upcoming construction projects and securing commercial opportunities, specifically within flooring, waterproofing, skim coat, rendering, and finishing segments. The ideal candidate must possess an established network of industry stakeholders, a strong capacity for independent fieldwork, and a proven track record of converting technical product value into closed project deals.

Requirements:

  • Relationship Management: Build and nurture strong commercial relationships with key stakeholders in the built environment, including developers, contractors, architects, consultants, quantity surveyors, procurement teams, and specialized applicators.

  • Project Tracking & Acquisition: Proactively identify, track, and map active and upcoming construction projects within your assigned region.

  • Technical-Commercial Sales: Drive B2B opportunities for specialized finishing projects (flooring, waterproofing, skim coat, rendering). Lead site visits, host technical-commercial meetings, deliver product presentations, and coordinate sample submissions or product trials.

  • Project Coordination: Work closely with the corporate head office to coordinate operational and technical support required for seamless project execution on-site.

  • Market Intelligence: Monitor and analyze competitor activities, pricing trends, and market shifts. Maintain accurate pipeline reports, project tracking logs, and routine updates for management.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Experience: Minimum of 4 to 7 years of verifiable business development experience within the construction, building materials, or real estate infrastructure industry.

  • Industry Network: A robust, pre-existing network of architects, contractors, developers, and consultants within the assigned region.

  • Field-Oriented Mindset: Highly comfortable with extensive fieldwork, routine construction site visits, and direct engagement with project managers on-site.

  • Autonomy: Proven ability to work independently, manage a regional sales pipeline, and meet targets with minimal direct supervision.

  • Communication: Exceptional presentation, negotiation, and reporting skills.

Salary

N100,000 – N180,000 monthly.
