Job Description:
Are you an experienced banking professional with a passion for driving financial growth? We are seeking a results-oriented Business Development Executive to join our team in Yola. This role is focused on expanding our consumer and business banking portfolios, with a heavy emphasis on SME lending and IPPIS product penetration. If you have a track record of meeting ambitious sales targets and building lasting relationships in the financial sector, we want to hear from you.
Requirements:
Business Development & Sales: Actively market and sell our suite of consumer and business banking products to grow our customer base and mobilize deposits.
SME Lending (FMCG Focus): Source, qualify, and manage SME loan customers, with a specialized focus on the FMCG supply chain (distributors, traders, and retailers).
IPPIS Loan Growth: Identify eligible salary earners, drive IPPIS lending initiatives, and manage the end-to-end loan application process.
Credit Support & Appraisal: Conduct preliminary customer assessments, collect necessary documentation, and provide accurate business intelligence to support the credit appraisal process.
Portfolio Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, monitor account activity to identify cross-selling opportunities, and ensure consistent loan repayment.
Recovery & Compliance: Proactively follow up on loan repayments and support recovery efforts while ensuring strict adherence to internal lending policies, KYC requirements, and regulatory procedures.
Qualifications and Skills:
Relevant Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in business development, credit marketing, SME lending, microfinance, or consumer banking.
Core Competency: Demonstrable experience in IPPIS lending is mandatory.
Sector Expertise: Strong preference for candidates with experience in SME and FMCG lending environments.
Relationship Management: Proven ability to source new business, manage diverse customer portfolios, and maintain a high level of client satisfaction.
