Job Description:
Are you a driven sales professional passionate about the fintech revolution in Nigeria? As a Business Developer on the PalmPay Pay with Transfer (PWT) team, you will be the driving force behind our market expansion. You will identify high-potential merchants, educate partners on our financial ecosystem, and accelerate the adoption of our payment solutions. This is an ideal role for an ambitious individual looking to scale their career in a fast-paced fintech environment.
Requirements:
Strategic Market Prospecting: Proactively identify and acquire high-quality merchants across diverse sectors. Utilize online research, professional networking, and referrals to build a robust pipeline for PWT, merchant loans, and digital payment solutions.
Merchant Engagement & Sales: Initiate connections with prospective clients, schedule high-impact demonstrations, and effectively communicate the competitive advantage of PalmPay’s suite of services.
Consultative Needs Assessment: Conduct thorough assessments of client payment operations. Analyze business pain points to provide tailored fintech solutions that drive growth and operational efficiency.
Persuasive Presentations: Deliver compelling, customized sales presentations that highlight ROI and unique product benefits, specifically tailored to the needs of high-value and key merchants.
Strategic Relationship Management: Build and maintain long-term partnerships with key decision-makers. Position yourself as a reliable advisor by demonstrating exceptional responsiveness and industry expertise.
Contract Negotiation & Closing: Lead the end-to-end sales cycle, from initial negotiation of pricing and terms to successful deal closure, ensuring alignment with corporate compliance and profitability goals.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Product, Operations, and Customer Support teams to resolve client queries and ensure a seamless, world-class onboarding and implementation experience.
Qualifications and Skills:
Proven experience in business development, field sales, or merchant acquisition, preferably within the fintech, banking, or logistics sectors.
Strong understanding of the Nigerian payment landscape.
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
A self-starter mindset with the ability to meet and exceed ambitious sales targets.
Salary
