Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced, high-impact Branch Manager to provide visionary leadership and operational oversight for our banking branch. You will be responsible for the end-to-end performance of the branch, balancing aggressive business growth and deposit mobilization with rigorous risk management and service excellence. This role is ideal for a seasoned banking professional who excels at building high-performing teams and fostering deep, trust-based relationships with retail and SME clients.
Requirements:
Business Growth: Lead deposit mobilization and portfolio expansion. You will develop and execute strategic plans to identify new market opportunities and grow the branch’s asset/liability base.
Operational Excellence: Oversee daily branch workflows, ensuring maximum efficiency, service delivery standards, and strict adherence to internal/regulatory policies.
Leadership: Build a culture of accountability. You will supervise, coach, and mentor staff to hit individual and team targets while supporting long-term succession planning.
Customer Experience: Champion the customer journey, ensuring rapid resolution of complaints, high retention rates, and effective promotion of our digital banking channels.
Risk & Compliance: Maintain a "zero-tolerance" approach to non-compliance. Manage credit/operational risks and ensure total adherence to KYC/AML guidelines.
Financial Stewardship: Take full ownership of branch P&L, budget management, cost efficiency, and periodic performance reporting to regional leadership.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
Experience: 8–12 years of total experience in banking, with a minimum of 3–5 years in a senior leadership role.
Sector Expertise: Strong, demonstrable background in Retail, SME, or Commercial Banking.
Professional Advantage: Possession of certifications such as ACA, ACCA, or CIBN is highly desirable.
