Job Description:
We are seeking a high-velocity, data-driven BNPL Growth Manager to take full ownership of the growth trajectory for our "Buy Now, Pay Later" (BNPL) vertical. This is a senior-level performance marketing and strategy role that requires a rare blend of paid media mastery, lifecycle marketing expertise, and commercial acumen. You will be responsible for scaling our active user base, increasing transaction volumes, and driving repeat usage through a combination of aggressive acquisition and sophisticated retention strategies.
The ideal candidate has a proven track record of scaling consumer credit or marketplace products in the Nigerian market and is comfortable managing the complex unit economics of a two-sided platform (Merchant + Consumer).
Requirements:
Growth Strategy & Performance Marketing
Target Accountability: Own and deliver the BNPL growth roadmap, meeting monthly active customer, transaction volume, and repeat purchase KPIs.
Multi-Channel Acquisition: Plan, execute, and optimize large-scale paid campaigns across Meta, Google, TikTok, Programmatic, and Influencer channels.
Campaign Optimization: Manage the "Creative-to-Conversion" pipeline, including asset production, message-market fit testing, and rigorous A/B testing of ad sets.
Efficiency Metrics: Drive growth while maintaining healthy Customer Acquisition Costs (CAC) and high Return on Ad Spend (ROAS).
Merchant Partnerships & Lifecycle Management
Co-Marketing: Partner with the Operations and Merchant teams to activate existing merchant partnerships through high-impact co-branded acquisition campaigns.
Retention & Engagement: Own the end-to-end lifecycle programme (Email, In-app, SMS) focusing on frictionless onboarding, first-payment reminders, and repeat-purchase nudges.
Ecosystem Growth: Understand and leverage the two-sided nature of the platform to turn merchant transactions into long-term consumer relationships.
Data Analysis & Operations
Analytics Fluency: Build and interpret sophisticated dashboards for cohort analysis, funnel conversion, and unit economics.
Financial Literacy: Maintain deep awareness of how growth initiatives impact the vertical's P&L and overall credit health.
Values-Led Growth: Ensure all growth tactics align with our commitment to being a responsible, values-driven financial business.
Qualifications and Skills:
Educational Background
Degree: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Economics, or Computer Science.
Advanced Education: A Master’s degree or MBA is welcome but not mandatory.
Certifications: Professional credentials in growth marketing (Reforge, Google Ads, Meta Blueprint, or HubSpot) are highly desirable.
Professional Experience
Seniority: 6–8 years of experience in growth or digital marketing, with at least 2–3 years owning a meaningful P&L or vertical.
Fintech/Marketplace Context: Demonstrated success in scaling consumer credit, BNPL, or e-commerce products within Nigeria or a comparable African market.
Media Expertise: Hands-on experience managing high-spend paid media budgets with documented performance outcomes.
Strategic Capability: Proven ability to navigate the complexities of merchant-side partnership work.
