Job Description:

We are seeking a talented, creative, and detail-oriented Baker & Cake Decorator to join our team in Abuja. In this role, you will be the creative force behind our confectioneries, transforming high-quality ingredients into stunning edible art. Whether you are baking our signature pastries or crafting bespoke cakes for special events, you will ensure every item meets our high standards for taste and presentation. If you have a passion for baking, a flair for professional cake decoration (buttercream, fondant, ganache), and the operational discipline to manage a productive kitchen, we invite you to help us create memorable experiences for our customers.

Requirements:

• Baking Excellence: Prepare and bake a variety of cakes, cupcakes, and pastries following approved, high-quality recipes.

• Professional Decoration: Masterfully decorate cakes using various techniques, including fondant, ganache, and buttercream.

• Custom Design: Collaborate with customers to design custom cakes that perfectly match their event themes and specifications.

• Kitchen Operations: Manage production schedules to ensure all orders are completed on time, accurately packaged, and ready for pickup or delivery.

• Inventory & Hygiene: Monitor ingredient stocks, minimize wastage, and maintain an impeccable, food-safe work environment that adheres to strict hygiene standards.

• Quality Assurance: Conduct rigorous quality checks on all items before they reach the display case or the customer.

• Innovation: Contribute fresh ideas for seasonal menus and new product designs to keep our offerings exciting.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of proven professional experience in a bakery or confectionery environment.

• Education: We welcome applicants with a range of educational backgrounds, including BA/BSc/HND, NCE, OND, or SSCE

  Artistic Skill: Proven ability to create professional-grade finishes and custom designs.

  • Operational Discipline: Strong ability to manage time, balance multiple orders, and minimize ingredient waste.

  • Team Collaboration: Ability to work closely with sales and customer service teams to ensure client satisfaction.
