Job Description:

Are you a backend architect who thrives on building systems where precision is paramount? We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to own and extend our core financial infrastructure. In this role, you will be the technical backbone of our platform, managing every transaction from FX conversion to final settlement. If you are passionate about building secure, scalable, and reliable money-movement systems, we want to hear from you.

Requirements:

• Architect & Build: Design, develop, and maintain high-scale backend services using NestJS (TypeScript) that power our payments, FX, wallets, and settlement engines.

• Master Transaction Logic: Implement robust transaction handling, including complex webhooks, strict idempotency patterns, automated retries, and multi-provider reconciliation.

• Drive Integrations: Own the full lifecycle of integrations with local and international payment rails and FX liquidity providers.

• Ensure Integrity: Safeguard the core money-movement logic, ensuring correctness and reliability are non-negotiable.

• Lead Technical Standards: Define and document architectural best practices, setting the quality bar for the entire engineering team.

• Security & Compliance: Embed security-by-design and regulatory compliance into every new financial feature.

• Collaborate: Partner closely with product and compliance teams to translate complex financial requirements into resilient, performant systems.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Experience: A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

• Core Expertise: 5+ years of professional backend engineering experience with significant production-grade NestJS or Node.js/TypeScript development.

• Fintech Focus: Demonstrable experience building or scaling payments or fintech infrastructure.

• Financial Engineering: A deep understanding of idempotency, eventual consistency, and reconciliation processes within financial systems.

• Database Mastery: Strong command of PostgreSQL, including advanced data modeling for financial accuracy.

• Architectural Mindset: A proven track record of designing clean, testable, and highly maintainable service architectures.

• Compliance Awareness: Experience operating in high-security, regulated environments where data integrity and auditability are critical.
