We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Description:

  • The Automation Shift Engineer is responsible for designing, testing, and implementing automated systems to improve operational efficiency.
  • This role involves programming new automation components, identifying and resolving quality issues, and supporting defect elimination in both product and software development.
  • The engineer will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, ensuring compliance with company safety, quality, health, and environmental standards. 

Maintenance execution:

  • Ensure corrective maintenance work is done according to plan
  • Ensure that Mean Time To Repair(MTTR) is according to plan.
  • Fixes breakdowns and performs repairs (for breakdown machines)
  • Ensure work order registration in CMMS (hours, materials, feedback text,etc.)
  • Closes work order when work is finished
  • Responsible for less complex work in the field of measurement and control technology , process control and mechanical.
  • Participates in work meetings and improvement teams
  • Makes suggestions to optimize preventive maintenance plans
  • Manages adjustments,Analyzes maintainability of adjustments,modifications and new constructions
  • Gives input to updates of  drawings, documentation,diagrams and settings
  • Support operators in changing equipment settings when required (major change over)
  • Administrative handling of maintenance activities in Maintenance Management System
  • Supports and advises  maintenance engineer on maintenance planning
  • Initiates, coordinates and monitors smaller improvement projects (modifications)
  • Participates as a departmental specialist in RCA meetings and, if necessary performs further analysis.
  • Decides on spare parts to keep on stock and define min/max parameters.
  • Optimize spare parts inventory, cost vs availability as well as standardization of components in consultation with Reliability Engineer

Enforcement of Safety, Quality, Health and Environment:

  • Applies and enforces all relevant safety, quality, health and environmental requirements and standards
  • Implement relevant QSHE risk addressing maintenance
  • Identifies unsafe and unhygienic situations and reports them to the supervisor

Requirements:

  • Candidates should possess an HND/B.Sc in Electrical/Electronics Engineering
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Engineer in a similar role
  • Sound knowledge (hands-on) of robotics, AI, and machine learning is required
  • Ability to use lab testing equipment for the quality of cans and lids quality
  • Project Management skills
  • Solid understanding of computer programming and software development
  • Ability to troubleshoot equipment and perform complex system tests
  • Proficiency in maintaining automation equipment
  • Knowledge and experience in the field of water treatment facilities, steam boiler facilities, and compressed air generating facilities
  • Knowledge and experience in the field of maintenance methodologies (FMECA, RCA, 5W)
  • Knowledge and experience in the field of maintenance management system (ULTIMO)
  • Knowledge and experience in the field of continuous improvement programs such as WCOM, Lean TPM
  • Knowledge and experience in the field of troubleshooting
  • Ability to keep up with the latest technologies.
