Job Description:
We are seeking a high-integrity and analytically rigorous Internal Auditor to join our team at Wetland Plaza, Jabi. In the hospitality and retail sector, the Internal Auditor is the "First Line of Defense", the professional responsible for ensuring that every transaction, inventory movement, and operational process is transparent and compliant. This role is designed for a "Risk Architect", a professional with 3–5 years of auditing experience who can blend financial reporting precision with the "Field Grit" required to detect fraud and monitor compliance in real-time.
Your mission is to ensure "Zero-Leakage Operations and Total Fiscal Transparency." You will be the primary steward of our internal controls: responsible for conducting inventory audits, monitoring shift-based financial reports, and ensuring that all health, safety, and environmental (HSE) practices are upheld. If you possess "Analytical Grit," a professional demeanor, and are working toward or hold an ICAN/ACCA certification, we want you to drive our governance excellence.
Requirements:
1. Financial Governance & Reporting
Transaction Integrity: Audit daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports to ensure accuracy and alignment with standardized accounting principles.
Fraud Detection: Implement and monitor rigorous detection mechanisms to identify and mitigate financial discrepancies or misappropriations.
Compliance Stewardship: Ensure all operational activities strictly adhere to internal policies, statutory regulations, and hospitality industry standards.
2. Operational Risk & Inventory Management
Inventory Auditing: Lead physical stock counts and reconciliations across all departments to prevent shrinkage and optimize supply chain efficiency.
Shift-Based Monitoring: Conduct audits across rotating shifts—including weekends and holidays—to ensure consistent operational integrity in a 24-hour environment.
HSE Oversight: Verify that all safety and environmental practices are maintained, ensuring a secure environment for guests and staff alike.
3. Leadership & Analytical Excellence
Process Engineering: Identify bottlenecks or vulnerabilities in current workflows and recommend structural improvements to enhance productivity.
Communication Synergy: Provide clear, data-driven audit findings to management, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Professional Conduct: Maintain an exemplary standard of integrity and professional appearance, serving as a role model for the organization’s values.
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Profile
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related quantitative field.
Experience: 3–5 years of auditing experience (Prior experience in the Hospitality sector is a significant advantage).
Certifications: ICAN/ACCA (Qualified or in progress). An Internal Audit Certification is an added advantage.
Core Competencies
Analytical Grit: Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to spot patterns in complex financial data.
Operational Flexibility: Ability to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required by the business schedule.
HSE Knowledge: Strong understanding of Health, Safety, and Environmental practices within a commercial facility.
