Job Description:

We are seeking a high-precision and analytically rigorous Audit Officer to anchor our internal control ecosystem in Lagos. In the complex Nigerian corporate landscape, success is defined by "Process Sovereignty", the ability to harmonize objective data analysis with aggressive risk mitigation strategies. This role is designed for a "Governance Architect" with 2–10 years of experience who can blend "Forensic Accounting Rigor" with the "Independent Diplomacy" required to advise management and the audit committee on goal achievement and legality.

Requirements:

1. Audit Architecture & Strategic Planning

• Scope Governance: Determine the internal audit scope and develop comprehensive annual plans that target high-risk operational areas.

• Data Intelligence: Obtain, analyze, and evaluate accounting documentation, flowcharts, and historical reports to identify systemic vulnerabilities.

• Process Documentation: Meticulously document internal processes and prepare audit findings memoranda that provide a clear roadmap for organizational improvement.

2. Risk Mitigation & Cost Stewardship

• Loophole Identification: Proactively identify operational loopholes and recommend robust risk aversion measures to protect company assets.

• Value Engineering: Recommend strategic cost-saving measures by identifying inefficiencies in existing financial and operational workflows.

• Independent Advisory: Act as an objective source of independent advice, ensuring all organizational activities align with legal frameworks and corporate goals.

3. Reporting Fidelity & Stakeholder Diplomacy

• Insight Engineering: Prepare and present high-fidelity audit reports that reflect clinical results and provide actionable recommendations for leadership.

• Management Communication: Maintain open and transparent communication channels with both senior management and the audit committee.

• Follow-up Governance: Conduct rigorous follow-up audits to monitor the implementation of management’s interventions and ensure corrective actions are sustained.

4. Regulatory Intelligence & Continuous Growth

• Compliance Sovereignty: Stay at the forefront of sector-specific rules, regulations, and best practices to ensure the organization remains audit-ready.

• Technical Mastery: Engage in continuous knowledge development regarding modern audit tools, performance standards, and forensic techniques.

Qualifications and Skills:

Professional Profile

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

• Experience: 2–10 years of robust experience in internal audit or risk management.

• Skillset: Expertise in data analysis, flowchart evaluation, and financial documentation.
