Job Description:
- An Assistant Video Editor, also known as a Video Production Editor, plays a crucial role in the post-production process by reviewing audio and visual footage and using editing software to create cohesive final products.
- This position requires collaboration with the post-production team to transform raw material into high-quality content.
Key Responsibilities:
- Editing Video Content: Edit videos for various platforms, including social media, YouTube, and Netflix.
- Footage Evaluation: Assess raw footage and review shot lists and storyboards.
- Software Utilization: Use video editing software to enhance footage and improve quality.
- Storytelling Techniques: Implement effective storytelling methods and suggest special effects and music.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the video production team to align with the director's vision.
- Revisions: Make necessary edits and revisions as requested.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Assemble raw footage and upload to a computer.
- Analyze scripts or outlines during edits.
- Enhance footage with sound, music, and voice-overs.
- Add graphics and correct lighting and coloring issues.
- Present drafts to directors and make revisions based on feedback.
Requirements:
- Time Management: Excellent skills in managing time and meeting deadlines.
- Critical Thinking: Strong problem-solving abilities.
- Communication Skills: Ability to collaborate effectively with team members.
- Experience: Relevant work experience in digital video editing, motion graphics, production, or graphic design.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proficiency in Editing Software: Experience with Adobe Final Cut Pro, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premiere, and Avid Media Composer.
- Sound and Special Effects Knowledge: Advanced understanding of sound effects and special effects.
Salary
