Job Description:
- As part of the Integrity team, you will support asset integrity by monitoring facility conditions, planning inspections, and implementing risk-based failure prevention strategies.
- The successful candidate will leverage their deep expertise in subsurface evaluation to enhance reservoir understanding, optimize hydrocarbon recovery, and unlock greater value from the assets through data-driven insights and strategic decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Reservoir fluid characterization and field studies.
- Material balance and reservoir simulation.
- Performance forecasting and depletion planning.
- Reservoir surveillance and production optimization.
- Opportunity generation and evaluation.
- Subsurface characterization and depletion planning.
- Workover and drillwell evaluations.
- Volume forecasting, economic analysis, and reserves assessment.
- Conduct subsurface and commercial studies to advance development opportunities.
- Maintain and update dynamic reservoir models; identify long-term constraints.
- Define reservoir design bases for projects.
- Develop and revise Field Development Plans (FDPs)
Principal Accountabilities:
- Assess asset integrity using risk-based techniques and set performance benchmarks.
- Identify and manage integrity risks; implement preventive and corrective actions.
- Design and execute inspection programs aligned with standards and regulations.
- Interpret inspection results and perform Level 1 & 2 Fitness-for-Service evaluations.
- Lead corrosion control, inspection, and performance monitoring initiatives.
- Drive improvements through automation, digital tools, and emerging technologies.
- Conduct proactive corrosion surveillance and track integrity indicators.
- Maintain and prioritize integrity concerns for maintenance planning.
- Support Root Cause Failure Analysis and recommend sustainable solutions.
- Provide expertise in materials, inspection, welding, NDT, and failure analysis.
- Collaborate with coatings, corrosion, and repair teams for integrated solutions.
Requirements:
Education:
- B.Eng in Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of pressure equipment design standards and safety criteria; self-motivated and effective in managing reliability, maintenance, and troubleshooting within a team.
The ideal candidate must meet the following requirements:
- At least a Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of Second-Class Upper Division (2.1) in Metallurgical, Materials, Corrosion, Mechanical, Chemical or related disciplines.
- At least 8 years of relevant experience in the oil and gas sector.
- Minimum of 8 years providing technical support in facilities or asset integrity.
- Skilled in corrosion management, pressure vessel evaluation, risk-based inspection, and fixed equipment strategies.
- Familiar with industry codes, standards, and safety practices.
- NYSC discharge or exemption certificate.
