Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and innovative Architect to drive our design initiatives from initial concept to final execution. This role is designed for a professional who balances high-level creativity with rigorous technical soundess. You will be responsible for transforming client briefs into functional, aesthetically compelling structures while ensuring every detail complies with regulatory standards and construction practicalities.

The ideal candidate is a visionary designer who is equally comfortable behind a workstation producing complex BIM models as they are on a construction site ensuring design intent is being accurately realized.

Requirements:

Architectural Design & Visualization

• Concept Development: Create innovative architectural concepts and schematic designs that align with project objectives and client visions.

• Visual Presentation: Prepare high-quality 3D visualizations, renderings, and design proposals to communicate ideas effectively to stakeholders.

• Design Integrity: Ensure that all designs are not only aesthetically pleasing but also functional, sustainable, and consistent with company standards.

Technical Documentation & Coordination

• Detailed Drafting: Produce comprehensive working drawings, construction details, and material specifications required for seamless project execution.

• Consultant Liaison: Coordinate closely with structural, MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing), and other consultants to ensure total design integration.

• Regulatory Compliance: Review all drawings to ensure strict adherence to local building codes, safety regulations, and zoning laws.

Project Execution & Site Oversight

• Site Inspections: Conduct regular site visits to monitor construction progress and verify that the physical build aligns with the approved design intent.

• Technical Problem Solving: Act as the primary point of contact for resolving design-related issues or architectural bottlenecks that arise on-site.

• Stakeholder Management: Liaise with project managers, site supervisors, and contractors to maintain project timelines and quality standards.

Studio Collaboration

• Workflow Optimization: Contribute to an efficient studio workflow, ensuring that project milestones are met and documentation is meticulously organized.

• Mentorship: Provide technical support and guidance to junior architects and interns to foster a culture of continuous learning.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture (B.Arch or equivalent).

  • Master’s Degree in Architecture is considered a significant added advantage.

• Experience:

  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience in architectural design and project management.

• Technical Proficiency:

  • Expertise in industry-standard design software: AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Lumion.

  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, contemporary materials, and building technology.

• Core Competencies:

  • Visualization: Exceptional ability to create realistic 3D renderings and presentations.

  • Regulation: Solid understanding of Nigerian building regulations and planning processes.

  • Leadership: Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multidisciplinary coordination.
