Job Description:

We are offering an exciting, hands-on opportunity for a smart and motivated NYSC Corps Member to join our team as a Quality Control Intern. In the food manufacturing sector, quality control is the critical guardian of consumer safety and brand trust. This role is designed for a "Scientific Sentinel", a proactive graduate in the sciences who is eager to apply their knowledge of microbiology, biochemistry, or food technology to a real-world production floor.

Your mission is to support "Quality Excellence from Farm to Fork." You will assist in every stage of the manufacturing process: from inspecting raw materials to monitoring hygiene standards and documenting production data. If you have "Surgical Attention to Detail" and a desire to build a career in Food Safety and Quality Assurance (QA), this internship provides the perfect launchpad.

Requirements:

1. Material Inspection & Process Monitoring

  • Quality Verification: Assist in the physical and chemical inspection of raw materials, ensuring they meet our strict specifications before entering the production line.

  • In-Process Checks: Conduct routine quality checks during active production cycles to ensure consistency, taste, texture, and safety standards are maintained.

  • Finished Product Validation: Help verify that the final products are fit for consumption and comply with both internal standards and regulatory requirements.

2. Hygiene, GMP & Compliance Support

  • Sanitation Oversight: Support the monitoring of hygiene and sanitation protocols on the shop floor to prevent cross-contamination.

  • GMP Advocacy: Help enforce Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and food safety standards among the production staff.

  • Audit Assistance: Support the QC Lead during internal quality audits, helping to prepare the facility for external inspections.

3. Documentation & Deviation Reporting

  • Technical Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date QC logs, test results, and production documentation to ensure an audit-ready trail.

  • Deviation Analysis: Assist in identifying quality deviations or "non-conformities" and report them immediately to the QC Lead for corrective action.

  • CAPA Support: Support the implementation of Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) to improve factory processes.

Qualifications and Skills:

Professional Profile

  • NYSC Status: MANDATORY. Must be a currently serving NYSC Corps Member seeking a Primary Assignment (PPA).

  • Education: Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, or a related scientific discipline.

  • Mindset: A strong willingness to learn and thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on factory/production environment.

Core Competencies

  • Scientific Literacy: A basic understanding of food safety, hygiene practices, and laboratory protocols.

  • Observation Grit: Excellent attention to detail; you are the "second pair of eyes" that catches errors before they leave the factory.
