ACCOUNTS / INVENTORY OFFICER AT TROOP PHARMACEUTICALS LIMITED | ACCOUNTING / INVENTORY JOBS IN LAGOS

Lagos, Nigeria | Posted on 16/06/2026

About Company:

At Troop Pharmaceuticals Limited, we are committed to shielding health and empowering lives. Our dedication to delivering quality pharmaceutical products and healthcare solutions drives us to maintain excellence and integrity in everything we do.

Job Description:

The Account and Inventory Officer is a hybrid role that acts as the essential link between a company's financial health and its operational efficiency. By merging the technical aspects of store-keeping with the analytical requirements of accounting, this position ensures that what is on the shelves physically perfectly matches what is reported on the balance sheet.

Requirements:

  • Bridging the Gap: Serving as the central point of contact between the Finance department (which focuses on value and reports) and the Operations/Store team (which focuses on quantity and movement).

  • Internal Auditing: Proactively identifying variances. If the system says 100 units exist but only 95 are physically present, the Account and Inventory Officer investigates why (e.g., unrecorded usage, theft, or data entry error).

  • Cost Management: Monitoring reorder points to ensure the company does not over-invest in stock (tying up cash) or under-invest (leading to lost sales).

  • Documentation: Managing the paper trail for all inward goods (GRNs) and outward goods (MRNs/Invoices), ensuring every unit can be accounted for during audits.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree (BA/BSc) or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • Professional Certification: Having a professional certificate (such as ICAN or ACCA) is considered a distinct advantage.

  • Work Experience: A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in finance, accounting, or audit roles.

  • Core Skills:

    • Numerical Precision: High level of accuracy in data entry, journals, ledgers, and reconciliations.

    • System Proficiency: Ability to use accounting systems/software and Microsoft Office applications (specifically Excel).

    • Analytical Ability: Skill in reconciling inventory records with financial accounts and preparing cash position reports.

    • Communication: Proficiency in following up on overdue payments and managing debt recovery.
