Job Description:

  • We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounting Officer to join our finance team.
  • The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting policies and regulations.
  • This role requires strong numerical skills, integrity, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Bookkeeping & Transactions: Record daily financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
  • Financial Reporting: Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
  • Reconciliations: Perform bank reconciliations and balance sheet account reconciliations on a regular basis.
  • Invoice & Payment Processing: Process vendor invoices, employee expense claims, and customer payments in a timely manner.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to company policies, accounting standards, and relevant tax regulations.
  • Audit Support: Assist with internal and external audit processes by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
  • Payroll Assistance: Support the payroll process by verifying hours, calculating deductions, and preparing relevant reports.
  • Record Maintenance: Organize and maintain financial files, records, and documentation both electronically and physically.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience: 2–4 years of experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, SAP) and MS Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs).
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and thoroughness in handling financial data.
  • Integrity: Strong ethical standards and ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Communication: Good verbal and written communication skills for coordinating with team members and external parties.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
