Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to join our dynamic organization in Abuja. In this senior-level role, you will be responsible for the integrity of our financial records, ensuring absolute compliance with statutory regulations, and providing the analytical insights necessary for strategic decision-making. You will oversee the full accounting cycle—from managing daily cash flows to leading complex budgeting and forecasting processes.

The ideal candidate is a chartered professional with a proven track record in a structured corporate environment, possessing the technical rigor and integrity required to manage high-level financial operations.

Requirements:

Financial Management & Reporting

• Record Keeping: Prepare and maintain accurate, up-to-date financial records and comprehensive monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.

• Planning & Analysis: Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes to align with organizational goals.

• Cash Flow Oversight: Rigorously monitor cash flow, managing accounts payable and receivable to ensure optimal liquidity.

Compliance & Audit

• Tax & Statutory Compliance: Ensure the organization strictly adheres to all Nigerian tax regulations (LIRS/FIRS) and other statutory financial requirements.

• Audit Support: Act as the primary point of contact for both internal and external audits, providing the necessary documentation and process explanations.

• Risk Management: Establish and maintain robust internal controls and risk management practices to safeguard company assets.

Strategic Insights

• Financial Analysis: Conduct deep-dive financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost optimization.

• Management Advisory: Provide actionable financial insights and recommendations to senior management to support business growth and stability.

Qualifications and Skills:

Education & Professional Status

• Degree: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Certification: Professional certification (ICAN, ACCA, or equivalent) is mandatory.

Experience & Expertise

• Seniority: Minimum of 7–9 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably within a structured or corporate organization.

• Regulatory Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of IFRS, Nigerian financial regulations, and current reporting standards.

• Technical Skills: Proficiency in advanced Microsoft Excel and professional accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks, or SAP).
