Job Description:

We are seeking a diligent and accurate Accountant to join our team in a fast-paced industrial environment. You will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, supporting financial reporting, and maintaining strong internal controls.

Requirements:

  • Financial Management & Reporting: Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, ledgers, and journals. Produce monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and assist in budget preparation.

  • Accounts Payable & Receivable: Manage invoices, payments, and receipts. Reconcile supplier statements and monitor outstanding payments.

  • Taxation & Compliance: Ensure full compliance with Nigerian tax laws (PAYE, VAT, WHT, CIT, etc.) and file returns with FIRS and State IRS.

  • Payroll & Statutory Contributions: Support accurate payroll processing and ensure the timely remittance of Pension, NHF, NSITF, and ITF.

  • Cost Control & Analysis: Monitor production and operational costs; provide analysis to recommend efficiency improvements; track inventory and support stock valuation.

  • Internal Controls: Maintain proper documentation, audit trails, and ensure adherence to company financial policies. Identify and mitigate financial risks.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • Experience: 3–6 years of relevant experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.

  • Certification: Professional certification (ICAN, ACCA, or equivalent) is an added advantage.

  • Skills: Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, accounting software, and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

  • Attributes: Accuracy, high integrity, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
