Are you a detail-oriented finance professional looking to make an impact in the financial services sector? We are seeking a skilled Accountant to join our team. You will be responsible for managing comprehensive financial records, preparing precise management reports, and monitoring income and expenditure. The ideal candidate will ensure the integrity of our financial documentation, provide robust support during audits, and play a key role in maintaining our high standards of financial compliance and operational transparency.

Requirements:

• Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial reports for management to support informed decision-making.

• Record Management: Maintain meticulous records of all financial transactions, including specialized documentation for savings, loans, and repayment schedules.

• Bank Reconciliation: Perform regular bank reconciliations and maintain an organized, audit-ready filing system for all financial documents.

• Compliance & Audit: Actively support internal control processes, participate in audit activities, and ensure full adherence to regulatory and cooperative compliance requirements.

• Performance Monitoring: Diligently monitor outstanding loan balances, identify defaults, and track all income and expenditures.

• Strategic Support: Assist in budgeting, financial planning, and the preparation of statutory and cooperative reports.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree or HND in Accounting, Banking & Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.

• Experience: 5–7 years of proven accounting experience, ideally within a cooperative, microfinance, or similar financial institution.

• Certification: Possession of ICAN, ANAN, ACCA, or equivalent professional certification is highly desirable.
