Job Description:

We are seeking a high-velocity and strategically elite Account Officer to anchor the financial engine of our Abuja operations. In the regulated professional landscape of the FCT, success is defined by "Fiscal Sovereignty", the ability to harmonize daily transactions with the clinical precision required for Receivables/Payables Governance, Tax Remittance, and QuickBooks Ledger Integrity. This role is designed for a "Ledger Architect" with an OND/HND in Accountancy who can blend "Mathematical Grit" (performing complex reconciliations) with the "Technical Agility" required to master Excel and Professional Accounting Software.

Requirements:

1. Transaction Orchestration & System Governance

  • Posting Sovereignty: Ensure all financial transactions are accurately captured, classified, and coded with relevant approvals, acting as the primary "Source of Entry Integrity."

  • Invoicing Architecture: Execute accurate and timely invoicing for clients and patients, ensuring "Zero-Friction" in the revenue cycle.

  • POS Stewardship: Manage cashiering functions and point-of-sale reconciliations, providing the "Operational Foundation" for daily liquidity.

2. Compliance Resilience & Statutory Logic

  • Tax Sovereignty: Carry out monthly tax returns including PAYE, VAT, and Withholding Tax (WHT), acting as the primary "Source of Regulatory Compliance."

  • Remittance Architecture: Ensure timely pension remittances and statutory filings, maintaining the "Source of Institutional Standing."

  • Confidentiality Stewardship: Safeguard accounting records and documents with professional poise, ensuring the "Source of Information Security."

3. Reporting Integrity & Analytical Power

  • Ledger Sovereignty: Perform regular reviews and reconciliations of all books of entries, providing the "Analytical Foundation" for accurate financial health assessments.

  • Reporting Architecture: Prepare high-fidelity weekly and monthly dossiers, including Income Statements, Balance Sheets, and Expense Analysis, acting as the "Source of Management Visibility."

  • Planning Logic: Develop weekly and monthly cash plans to optimize working capital, utilizing QuickBooks expertise to maximize the "Source of Financial Foresight."

Qualifications and Skills:

Professional Profile

  • Education: OND or HND in Accountancy is required.

  • Experience: 1–2 years of active working experience in an accounting role.

  • Residency: Applicant must be based in Abuja.

Technical & Core Competencies

  • Software Sovereignty: Demonstrated professional-level proficiency in QuickBooks and MS Excel.

  • Analytical Grit: Strong ability to classify transactions and identify ledger variances.

  • Operational Power: Excellent organizational skills and adherence to internal financial control procedures.
